Boxt was the result of my final year project, an experiment in creating a minimalist widget application similar to services provided by Google and Netvibes. I designed the application from the ground up to be sparse and void of distraction whilst retaining an intuitive and easy to use interface. As well as building the framework itself, I built a handful of sample widgets that demonstrate the capabilities of the application. The code will be open sourced and I’ll be writing a dissertation on the stages of development soon.
